Rules and Regulations for State Pageant

WASHINGTON STATE PAGEANT RULES AND REGULATIONS

The following are the official rules and regulations of the Miss Washington Jr. High, High School, and Collegiate America Pageant.  Contestants must read and agree to the following rules and regulations, in order to be eligible to compete at the state pageant:

  • Contestants must be in 5th to 12th grade or enrolled at a college, university, graduate school, tech/trade school, or beauty college in Washington, and no older than 27 as of September 1, 2025.
  • Contestant must be of good health and moral character.

  • Contestant must be single, never have been married, nor given birth to a child.

  • Contestant must never have been convicted of a felony crime.

  • Contestant understands that if selected as the state winner of her division that she will NOT be permitted to compete in any other pageant during her year of service.  If contestant holds a title prior to competing, she must get written permission from the WA HSA state director in order to be eligible to compete.  Additional state titleholder requirements will be outlined in the State Titleholder's Official Contract.

  • Contestant understands that if selected as the state winner of her division she will be required to fulfill a minimum of 2 appearances per month and attend the National Pageant in the summer of 2026 at the dates and location as selected by the National Office.  Additional state titleholder requirements will be outlined in the State Titleholder's Official Contract.

  • Contestant will be subject to an entry fee.  Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

  • Contestant must never have nor will she during her year of service pose for any photography, video or film associated with nudity or pornography. Contestant must have never nor shall she during her year of service engaged in any employment involving partial or full nudity.

  • Any contestant and/or family member or guest showing less than sportsman-like behavior or bullying will lead to the disqualification of the contestant. No refund will be given under these circumstances.

  • Contestant agrees that all information provided on their registration form, paperwork, and all forms is true and accurate.  If information is falsified, it may lead to disqualification of the contestant or loss of State Title.  No refund will be given under these circumstances.

  • Contestant understands that all paperwork, ads, headshot, photogenic fee, etc. must be submitted by the deadline designated by the state pageant office.  If items are received after the deadline or not all, the contestant will not be eligible to compete.  No refund will be given under these circumstances.

  • Contestant transfers all right, title, and interest in her image and/or likeness during the state pageant to Miss Washington Jr. High, High School and Collegiate America Pageant with respect to all pageant activities, whether live, recorded, photographed or drawn/sketched and regardless of the medium actually displayed. Contestant waives, releases, and forever surrenders to Miss Washington Jr. High, High School and Collegiate America Pageant any right to income derived from Contestant’s image and/or likeness derived from the pageant.  Additionally, Contestant specifically agrees that Contestant shall not be entitled to any royalties, now or in the future, from Contestant’s image and/or likeness derived from the pageant. By signing and submitting an application, Contestant specifically agrees that Miss Washington Jr. High, High School and Collegiate America Pageant shall forever enjoy the right to use Contestant’s image and/or likeness derived from pageant; all sales, proceeds, and/or income derived from Contestant’s image and/or likeness derived from the pageant shall inure to the benefit of Miss Washington Jr. High, High School and Collegiate America Pageant only.

  • All decisions of judges at the state level and national level are final and irrevocable.

  • Contestant agrees to abide by all rules and regulations of the state pageant.

  • A Contestant may be selected to participate as a delegate "at-large" if there is no competition for her state and/or division.  If selected as "at-large" additional fees may apply to attend the National Pageant.

  • Contestant understands that the Miss Washington Jr. High, High School, and Collegiate America Pageant reserves the right to change the dates & location of the state pageant.

 These rules and regulations are subject to modification, as needed, without prior notice. Miss Washington Jr. High, High School, and Collegiate America Pageant reserves the right to make said modifications at its sole discretion.
